01Wrist to clasp, and a little over
Fourteen bracelets on two designs: a heart-cut birthstone on a 6.9-inch chain with a 1.57-inch extender, one for every month, and an infinity bracelet at 6.5 inches in silver or gold.

Measure the wrist with a tape and add half an inch, that is the whole method, and it is why a 6.9-inch bracelet with an extender fits almost everyone between six and eight inches. Too tight and the clasp digs in at a desk. Too loose and the pendant swings round to the underside where nobody sees it. The birthstone bracelets close with a spring ring, which is the small round clasp you open with a thumbnail: fiddly one-handed, but it does not open by itself in a coat sleeve. If you stack two bracelets on one wrist they will polish each other where they touch and darken where they do not, which is the tidiest demonstration of tarnish anybody could ask for.

03Before you order
How a 6.9-inch bracelet fits a wrist that measures six, which clasp you can close one-handed, and what stacking does to silver.
Measure the wrist with a tape and add half an inch. The birthstone bracelet is 6.9 inches with a 1.57-inch extender, which covers wrists from about six to eight inches. The infinity bracelet is 6.5 inches.
That half inch is the gap that lets the bracelet turn. Without it the clasp digs in when your arm rests on a desk, and with too much of it the pendant swings under the wrist where nobody sees it.
A spring ring, the small round clasp on the birthstone bracelet, is opened with a thumbnail and is honestly fiddly on your own wrist. What it does not do is open by itself inside a coat sleeve, which is the failure mode that loses a bracelet.
The trick everybody learns is to hold the free end down with tape or a clothes peg while you work the clasp. Two hands and ten seconds.
You can, and the wear is worth knowing about: where two pieces touch they polish each other bright, and where they do not, the silver darkens at its own pace. After a season a stacked pair has a shine pattern that a single bracelet does not.
If you would rather they stayed even, wear them on different wrists or wipe both with the cloth at the same time.
